It seems as if anything can happen in the NFL. Tim Tebow was the main guy in Denver. He had won the starting job last year. He was supposed to go to training camp and have a fresh start with the first team in training camp. This means guaranteed playing time because the starting job was his to loose in training camp. He was to be the face of the franchise…not anymore.
With Peyton Manning going to the Denver Broncos, Tim Tebow lost everything he worked for with the Broncos. The team now belongs to Peyton Manning. Also with the contract that Manning worked out Tebow became really expendable. Enter the New York Jets. The Jets have a franchise quarterback in Mark Sanchez but Tim Tebow as his backup would make it clear that he needs to start producing. Tebow still might get playing time but Sanchez needs to get injured (which no one really wants) or his level of play needs to go in the toilet to make the Jets coaching staff make a change. Tim Tebow will be a good addition to the locker room in New York which was in serious disarray last year.
It is quite apparent in all of this that the Tim Tebow trade was fall out from Peyton Manning getting signed by the Broncos. That fall out continues in New York with Drew Stanton. He was just signed to the Jets recently and was to be the number two quarterback behind Mark Sanchez. He took less money in the deal just for the opportunity but now he is the number three quarterback. Rumors say he might want to get released because it is looking like he is going to get no playing time on the Jets.
We will see what happens the rest of the off season an next season for the Jets with Sanchez and Tebow.

It seems as if Jeremy Lin and Linsanity changed the face of sports news which was once dominated by Tim Tebow and Tebowmania. Now Timsanity (really Tebowmania) is in New York. It would be really cool to see Tebow at a Knicks game with a Lin jersey and Jeremy Lin at a Jets game in a Tebow jersey. Timsanity meets Linsanity. With 14 plus million people in New York both Linsanity and Timsanity can easily co-exist.
Anyway, where else could it happen but New York?
